Sugar and Spice

Likely jinxing myself, but Josie has only woken up for one feeding two nights in a row!! It's pretty dreamy. Of course, I'm sure she'll wake up three times tonight...

All of the sudden Ellie can hold a telephone conversation. We don't have to feed her prompts or responses. It's fun to listen to her chatting away. She is in to "reading," which is also so much fun to watch. She makes up her own story by looking at the pictures. She LOVES her doll house and asks to play constantly. I'm running out of things to do and say, but she sure isn't. Her saying right now is, "Oh my stars!" (Trying to replace "Oh my Gosh/God") One of her funnier moments recently was her response to my very serious rendering of O Holy Night: "That was scary!" She and Daddy are starting to rough house more now that she's a bonefide big girl. Still working on getting her poopy in the potty. I put her to nap in her underwear and, inevitably, I'll check on her and find that she's put on a pull up and filled it on up with poopy. I'm thankful that she puts the pull up on, that's for sure.

Josie is the smilin'-est baby I've ever seen. Laughter through tears is her favorite emotion. She is no trouble at all and so stinkin' snuggly. Love her. She is really in to her tongue and watching my tongue. She's just starting to squeal a little, too. She struggles after feedings with some minor reflux. Thankfully she's on Zantac to relieve pain. She's wearing (and almost outgrowing) her three month clothing. As Papa says, "She growing like she's standing in fertilizer."

Here's Ellie with her buddy Lila (who refused to wear her pilgrim costume...only a Cinderella dress would suit) and her new pal LillyGrace (yes, there is no space, so we'll be calling her "No Space LillyGrace).

Here they are at the Convent.

It's been either too cold or too wet to play outside much. Instead, I put on the princess mix on my iPhone and let Ellie jam in the garage. Don't worry, the antifreeze and saws are out of reach.

Love this series of my sweet sisters.

Pookie's Gymnastic Birthday Party

Learning to ride her Princess Scooter

Josie - all dolled up for the party

Ellie has been talking for MONTHS about the moment when everyone would sing Happy Birthday and clap for her. It was pretty special to watch her revel in the moment as it finally came!

Hayden gave her flowers!

Josie got to hang out with Auntie Heather during the party.
